Directed Greetings from the pulpit, er podium.
We are an inclusive, non-auditioned musical group. New and experienced music lovers are invited to check that your band instrument is in working order and sit in on a rehearsal. If you need an instrument or yours needs a little attention, we can probably help you there, too. If you aren't comfortable playing along with us on your first visit, you're welcomed to listen to see if we're the right group for you.
Becoming better musicians is our mission. Our music is carefully selected to make us better players AND please our audiences. The difficulty is determined by the experience of the players in the band. And it's always a friendly, non-threatening environment.
Please think about giving us a try. It's the most fun you can have in Naples!

"Make new friends and play some music." The Naples New Horizons Band is a concert band for 55-and-over residents and visitors. Rehear- sals are Thursdays at 9:30 at Mayflower Church, County Barn Rd., Naples.
This is a great opportunity for those who played music in their school days and perhaps had to give it up during family and career years. It's also a good entry point for people who have never played a band instru-
ment, but have always wanted to.
Patriotic music, show tunes, marches, and other concert band music is rehearsed and performed in "season" (October to April). In other words, it's a community band for beginner to intermediate adults.
New Horizons Music programs provide entry points to music making for adults, including those with no musical experience at all and those who were active in school music programs but have been inactive for a long time.
